Week 12 fantasy recap

Add another tie to the record books, my friends. We have recorded our fifth tie of the season in the Texans Fantasy Football League, which is shaping up to be one of the most exciting seasons yet!

"Kenstrat" and "Mommykh" both scored 147 points in Week 12. "Kenstrat" has been declared the winner of via tiebreaker, and has won a mini-helmet autographed by Texans quarterback Matt Schaub.

"Kenstrat" put together a winning team that included running back Michael Turner (35 pts), DST Bears (25 pts) and quarterback Tyler Thigpen (23 pts).

An autographed football signed by Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson will be up for grabs in Week 13 for Houston Texans fans.

"It's all in the name," Matt Jackson told fellow Celebrity League coaches before the season started. "If you have a really, really cool name, that makes people think you are awesome, then opponents will eventually just give up. And with a name like Unbeatable MJ, I can't fail because now everyone knows they can't beat me."

It only took 12 weeks for Matt's formula for success to pay off as his "Unbeatable MJ" took home the Week 12 crown in the Texans Celebrity League with 137 points. Coach Jackson was able to get big-time performances out of quarterback Drew Brees (36 pts), running back Matt Forte (24 pts) and DST Lions (20 pts).

Coach Jackson was ridiculed for drafting the DST Lions in Week 12, but it looks like he knew what he was doing after all. Not only did Jackson finish in first place in the Celebrity League, he finished third overall among Houston Texans Fans. In second place for the third consecutive week was Butch Alsandor of KHOU/Channel 11's "Saints" with 132 points. Patti Smith of FSN Houston's "FSN Divas" finished in third place with 121 points.

We now have a new leader in the Texans Celebrity League. It's the first time we've had a new leader since Week 2 when Adam Wexler was in first place.

Here are the standings for the top three spots in the Celebrity League:

Matt Jackson (Unbeatable MJ) – 1,186 points
TORO (TORO'S Ballers) – 1,167 points
Nick Scurfield (Scurf's Up!) – 1,160 points
