Week 14 fantasy recap

Texans receiver Andre Johnson was a big producer for fantasy teams in the Home Team Challenge in Week 14.

With three weeks left in the 2009 season, "AVERY'S DADDY" wanted to make sure that they got in on some of the action in the Texans Fantasy Football League. This hasn't been the most ideal season for the team, but they weren't going to let a few bad weeks get in their way of achieving greatness.

Running back Chris Johnson (35 pts) and wide receiver Andre Johnson (31 pts) put up some of their best games for "AVERY'S DADDY," who tallied a whopping 171 points in Week 14 of the Texans Fantasy Football League. They are now the proud owners of an autographed football signed by Texans tight end Owen Daniels.

Make sure your lineups are set by 6:20 PM Thursday. The prize in Week 15 is two passes to be guest judges in the H-E-B Tailgater of the Year Competition prior to the Patriots game on Jan. 3, 2010.

Meanwhile, in the Texans Celebrity League…

Does anyone else feel a sense of déjà vu? It was about this time last year when Butch Alsandor's "Saints" began their rally to claim the Fantasy Football Celebrity League title. With a season-high score of 168 points in Week 14, the "Saints" recaptured a bit of their 2008 glory.

Chris Johnson led the way with 35 points, and wide receiver Brandon Marshall (32 pts), Andre Johnson (31 pts) and quarterback Drew Brees (29 pts) each chipped in to help the "Saints" to victory.

David Daniel's "Philyfantn" finished in second place with 152 points and Brad E's "Go Texans" came in third with 150 points.

HoustonTexans.com's Nick Scurfield has taken over the number one spot in the Texans Celebrity League, but only time will tell if he can hang on with three weeks left in the season.

The TCL Top 3 overall standings are:
1. Nick Scurfield (Scurf's Up!) – 1,573 points
2. Kristie Rieken (Dogzilla) – 1,543 points
3. Giff Nielsen (thegiffer14) – 1,539 points
