Week 16 Fantasy Picks

Andre Johnson is in the midst of a hot streak for fantasy football owners.

In Week 16 of the **Home Team Challenge**, the free fantasy football game with great prizes on HoustonTexans.com, the winning player gets the chance to be the honorary captain at next week's home game against the New England Patriots.

Remember to pick your new team each week, and don't forget to set your lineup by 6 p.m. CT on Christmas Day, since the Chargers are at Tennessee that night.

Use 300 points to construct a squad. For example: In Week 16, Aaron Rodgers of the Packers is the most expensive player points-wise and will set you back 93 points. But if you want to skimp at the quarterback spot, you could always take St. Louis rookie Keith Null for three points.

Here's my absolute…airtight…110%...guaranteedyouwillwinoryoucankeymyMercedesBenzlimo weekly fantasy advice, with a few players I like and a few players I don't.

PRICE IS RIGHT WR Larry Fitzgerald, ARI, 43 (vs. STL) Fitzgerald and the Cardinals are at home against a Rams team hitting the road a few days after Christmas. They were torched by Andre Johnson in Week 15, and they will be burned again this Sunday by another elite receiver in Fitzgerald. Count on at least 100 yards receiving and a touchdown or two.

VALUE PICK RB Cedric Benson, CIN, 40 (vs. KC) The Chiefs' run defense was shredded for nearly 300 yards by Jerome Harrison last weekend, and they're back on the road in Ohio this Sunday against Benson. He only carried the ball 15 times last Sunday and will likely see more touches this weekend. At 40 points, you're very likely to reap a 100-yard performance from Benson.

NOT WORTH IT RB Steven Jackson, STL, 48 (@ STL) He just doesn't find the end zone enough to justify spending 48 points. Only four times this season has he scored a touchdown, and he's stuck on a one-win ballclub. Avoid Jackson this week as the Rams go on the road to likely get their heads kicked in.

SLEEPER SPECIAL RB Frank Gore, SF, 46 (vs. DET) Gore's averaged 6.7 yards per carry in each of the last two games, can break the 1,000-yard mark for the season with 58 yards, and is at home against one of the worst teams in football. It's a recipe for fantasy success.

TEXANS FANTASY STARTER OF THE WEEK WR Andre Johnson, HOU, 49 (@ MIA) Before the final five-game of the season, Johnson told fellow wideout David Anderson that he'd play the best five games of his life. Through the first three games of that stretch, Johnson's backing up the talk with 488 yards and three touchdowns. Sunday's contest in Miami is an elimination game, as the loser has zero chance of making the playoffs. A lot's on the line, and look for 'Dre to show up in a big way.
