Week 7 fantasy recap

The winner of Week 8 of the free Houston Texans Home Team Challenge will win a football autographed by Texans running back Steve Slaton.

Some coaches just have what it takes when it comes to winning. Most coaches have to work for years before they can find it. For "The Great 1", it seems like it comes pretty easy these days.

With wide receiver Miles Austin (29 pts), quarterback Tom Brady (26 pts) and DST Patriots (25 pts), "The Great 1" scored 151 points to win the Texans Fantasy Football League weekly challenge for the second time this season. For winning in Week 7, "The Great 1" is now the proud owner of a copy of Madden 2010.

The Week 8 prize is an autographed football signed by Texans running back Steve Slaton.

Meanwhile, in the Texans Celebrity League…

Just two weeks removed from a last place finish, Dannie Rich had some proving to do and wanted to make sure that everyone knew he was a force to be reckoned with.

Rich used the combination of quarterback Phillip Rivers (29 pts), wide receiver Miles Austin (29 pts), tight end Vernon Davis (27 pts) and DST Packers (22 pts) to lead the "River City Rockers" to 144 points and a first place finish in the Texans Celebrity League.

Texans TV host Drew Dougherty's "Chicos Bail Bonds" and Bart Enis' "Mystery Men" finished in a tie for second place with 142 points apiece, and Brian Griffin's "REBUILD 2009" came in third place with 130 points.

Nick Scurfield of HoustonTexans.com has taken over as the overall leader and seems to be pulling away in the Texans Celebrity League standings.

The TCL Top 3 overall standings are:

  1. Nick Scurfield (Scurf's Up!) – 869 points
  2. Ralph Cooper (kcoh colts) – 853 points
  3. Kristie Rieken (Dogzilla) – 838 points
