Written Dear Drew: Extended minicamp edition

Editor's note: Drew Dougherty was asked a lot of questions on Facebook this week. He answered a few in the video above. He answered a lot in the article below. Enjoy. And make sure you tell the ones you love that you love them.

Jeanna Blankenship: Dear Drew, Should we be worried Duane Brown?
DD: While you'd always like to have all your players healthy and participating in OTAs, it's not overly worrisome that Brown wasn't in the building this May and June. I think you'll see the greatest lineman in franchise history on the field Week 1 against Jacksonville. That's what matters most.

Derwin Jordan: Dear Drew, What have you seen from the defense with Clowney/Watt/Mercilus all healthy? Should we expect JJ to finally take plays off to remain fresh for the entire season? I often see him breathing very heavy. It has never effected his play, but I wonder if he wasn't out there every play, he might surpass the 5 TD season he had.

Jeanna Blankenship Dear Drew,

Should we be worried #76? Not ready to see this man go yet!

Dakota Hamill Dear Drew,

When will we see those new color rush unis(not the all white ones) and is Dj Reader really as good as the hype he is getting?

Joe Paige III Dear Drew, I know you're busy, but take a brief moment and imagine this with me: 3rd down and 2 to go; we come out with L Miller, Nuk, B Miller, Fuller and CJ stands up near the line.
Ohh the options we have.

Eugenio Manuel Pimentel L Dear Drew does JJ Still takes naps inside the building?

We saw a little bit of this on hard knocks but it would be fun to know more about it and stuff like this the players do!

Richard Anthony Fernandez Dear drew any word on how hard fuller has been on the jugs machine?

Jj X Anwar Dear drew

Can you give us a review
Of Deshaun Watson and Carlos Watkins going to white hours to meet Donald trump for Clemon celebration

Like were they excited and what their thoughts were and a brief summary

Alfredo Portillo Dear Drew do you see Kareem Jackson play in the strong safety position with him being in the backfield with J Joe and Kevin Johnson it would look nice

Jake Bingham How is David quessenberry looking in practice how likely is it that he could start?

Chris Brown Drew, based on the personel, strengths and weaknesses of our defense do you see us playing more 4-3 with Clowney and Watt as traditional bookends on the d-line this year? Also does the offense have plans to attack vertically a little bit more to compliment using the backs in the passing game to keep defenses honest as well as avoid being so predictable?

Chris Basurto Dear Drew, in the defense Mike Vrabel will run is there going to be any major changes? What I mean to say is stylistically will the plays be different in any way or is he running a Romeo Crennel defense only?

Sandra Salazar What do you expect from a already great defense from last year, with the return of JJ Watt healthier as Far as improvements are concerned? Also, your opinion of the AFC south, do you think we can finally get over the hump?

I-Min Michael Mau Dear Drew, what's the odds of a fan's question not only get picked for show but also win scratch off ticket? One in 100,000?

Jonathon Lovil DEAR DREW ARE YOU EXCITED ABOUT VRABEL BEING THE DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR?Derwin Jordan: Dear Drew, What have you seen from the defense with Clowney/Watt/Mercilus all healthy? Jonathon Lovil DEAR DREW ARE YOU EXCITED ABOUT VRABEL BEING THE DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR?

Dakota Hamill: Dear Drew, When will we see those new color rush unis and is D.J. Reader really as good as the hype he is getting?
DD: The Texans will wear the color rush uniforms in Week 2 at Cincinnati. That's a Thursday-nighter and the Bengals will don their all-white color rushes, so the Texans will get to go with their all-blue look.

Reader was solid last year as a rookie and made some plays. He started seven games total in 2016, including the last four of the regular season. Reader also started both playoff games, and rang up a sack and a tackle for loss in the win over the Raiders. Clowney talked about how Reader can be one of the best "interior run-stoppers" in the NFL, and how he turned in big minutes.

Joe Paige III: Dear Drew, I know you're busy, but take a brief moment and imagine this with me: 3rd down and 2 to go; we come out with Lamar Miller, Nuk Hopkins, Braxton Miller, Will Fuller and C.J. Fiedorowicz stands up near the line. Ohh the options we have.
DD: Indeed. The Texans have a lot of variations they can throw out there. Keep an eye out this season for Stephen Anderson and Tyler Ervin as well. Both showed flashes as rookies, and I think you'll see a marked improvement from both in 2017.Eugenio Manuel Pimentel L: Dear Drew does JJ Still takes naps inside the building? We saw a little bit of this on hard knocks but it would be fun to know more about it and stuff like this the players do!
DD: I think that's more of a training camp thing, because the players are in the building for longer stretches of time than they are in-season or in the OTAs/minicamp time of year.Richard Anthony Fernandez: Dear Drew, Any word on how hard Will Fuller has been on the JUGS machine?
DD: All the receivers put work in on the JUGS, but more importantly, receivers coach John Perry has mixed things up this offseason with the drills he's employed. Every time the Texans catch a pass, they're getting contested. Alfredo Portillo: Dear Drew, Do you see Kareem Jackson playing safety?
DD: I could definitely see that. I could also see him as a corner when the Texans wind up in nickel defense situations, which happens a lot.

Jake Bingham: Dear Drew, How is David Quessenberry looking in practice, and how likely is it that he could start?
DD: David's looked good. It's tough to tell, though, how well linemen on both sides of the ball are doing in May and June because of the lack of pads and hitting. But he was out there participating with the first-team offensive line in a lot of instances. I think it would be a mild suprise if he were to be a starter.I-Min Michael Mau: Dear Drew, what's the odds of a fan's question not only get picked for show but also win scratch off ticket? One in 100,000?
DD: C'mon Broseph, you're better at math than that. About 40 to 50 fans typically submit a question. I answer about five or six of those in a video. One gets picked. Jonathon Lovil: DEAR DREW ARE YOU EXCITED ABOUT VRABEL BEING THE DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR?
DD: I am. I'm curious to see what wrinkles/changes Vrabel adds to the mix, because I know he has a creative mind. Romeo Crennel did a tremendous job the last three years and is still on staff, so I think it's a win-win situation all around.
