Biography

Karla Yuha joined the Houston Texans in May 2026 and serves as the organization's Vice President, Human Resources. In her role, Yuha serves as a strategic partner to the Executive Leadership team and oversees all aspects of human resources and the employee lifecycle, as well as the Battle Red Program, which provides part-time opportunities to work year-round and gain exposure to working in sports.

Yuha brings more than 10 years of strategic and global HR experience to the team. Prior to joining the Texans, she spent four years at Diamond Baseball Holdings in New York City, most recently serving as Executive Vice President, Human Resources. During her tenure, she was instrumental in building the foundation of the organization during a period of unprecedented growth and transformation. Yuha led the company's expansion from 130 to 1,300 full-time employees and from 2,000 to 13,000 seasonal employees across 35 states and Canada, all while ensuring thoughtful, scalable people practices supporting that growth. In addition, she spearheaded the design and implementation of the company's full HR infrastructure, including HR and payroll systems, recruiting, onboarding, performance management, total rewards and more. She also supported the integration and onboarding of all 49 clubs since the organization's inception and led key employee experience initiatives.

Yuha is a forward-thinking leader with extensive experience in fast-paced organizations. She began her career in human resources with IMG in London. She then joined Endeavor where she managed end-to-end recruitment before she was elevated to expanded HR leadership roles with the company in London and New York City.

A native of Rosalind, Alberta, Yuha earned a Bachelor of Commerce, Cooperative Education degree from the University of Alberta, Edmonton in Alberta, Canada. She is also an avid runner, completing the New York City, Paris and Berlin Marathons.
