The Houston Texans announced today that J.J. Watt will officially be inducted into the Houston Texans Ring of Honor during the team's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, Oct. 1. The former three-time Defensive Player of the Year and Walter Payton Man of the Year is the third member to be inducted into the Ring of Honor, joining Robert C. McNair and Andre Johnson.

Texans Legend and Texans Ring of Honor member Andre Johnson was inducted into the Texas Sports Hall of Fame. The four-time All-Pro wide receiver holds the Texans' records for the most career receptions, most receiving yards, most receiving touchdowns, most receptions in a single season, most receiving yards in a single season, most seasons with 100-plus receptions, and most starts. He was the first player in NFL history to record seven games with 10 or more receptions in 2008. Johnson is the first Texans player to be inducted.

During the 2019 Pink Ribbon Day game, the Houston Texans honored late Texans co-founder, senior chairman and chief executive officer Robert C. McNair, as he was inducted into the Houston Texans Ring of Honor. During a special halftime ceremony, video tributes from players, past and present, aired, as did messages from NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and others, all of whom praised his character, values and generosity. Mr. McNair and his wife of 60 years, club co-founder and senior chair Janice McNair, have donated more than $500,000,000 to charity through their foundation. Retired Texans wide receiver and the first inductee into the Ring of Honor, Andre Johnson, presented a framed red Ring of Honor blazer and a painting of the couple to Mrs. McNair and their son, Texans chairman and CEO Cal McNair.
