2015 Combine: What to expect from Texans

The Combine is here.

The Houston Texans digital media crew arrived in Indianapolis on Tuesday afternoon, and we'll be here through Friday.

In 2010 I was here with former videographer Julio Guidi. In 2011 and 2012, Nick Scurfield joined me. Marc Vandermeer came along in 2013 and is now at his third. Last year, our current videographer extraordinaire Jay McDevitt joined Deepi Sidhu with us for the trip. Now, John Harris and Claudia Castillo have come along for the ride.

The Texans have the 16th pick in the first round, so naturally, this Combine is a stark contrast from 2014. Last year the team had the first overall pick, and the scope was a lot more narrow.

With six of us here for the festivities, you can expect a steady stream of articles over the next few days about Draft prospects. We'll interview a slew of national media types with their thoughts on the Texans. General manager Rick Smith and head coach Bill O'Brien will address the media on Thursday in the 11 o'clock hour.

Offensive linemen, tight ends and special teamers speak with the media today. Tomorrow it's quarterbacks and wide receivers. Defensive linemen and linebackers are the next day, with defensive backs on Saturday.

Many of these interviews will be featured on Texans 24, and Vandermeer has a nice setup on Radio Row inside Lucas Oil Stadium. Some of what we get this week will be packaged up and shown on Saturday night's Texans 360 at 10:30 p.m. CT on ABC-13/KTRK.
