Got a question about the Texans?
Life in general?
Drew Dougherty's your guy.
He's been with the Texans since 2009 and is chock full of meaningful, as well as generally useless, information. Fire away by clicking
HERE.

Luis Urbano: Dear Drew, Who will the Texans play Week 1?
DD: We'll find out tomorrow night at 7 p.m. CT. The NFL releases the 2025 Regular Season Schedule then. The Texans know who and where they'll play this fall, but don't know the days and times for those games yet. They'll get that info on Wednesday night.

Matt Taylor: Dear Drew, Do you think we will get the Kansas City Chiefs early or late in the schedule? I'd rather it be later so we have time in the new offensive scheme. What say you, Mr. Drew?
DD: Terrific question, Matt. I'm old enough and I've seen enough schedule releases that I know you can't expect anything to play out the way you think it will. Houston's played the Chiefs in Week 1 in 2020 and 2015, they played them in October in 2019, and saw the Chiefs in December last season and in 2022.

We'll find out for sure on Wednesday night.

Rhone De Pena: Dear Drew, Can we expect any Texans international games soon?
DD: I don't think they'll play internationally this year, but I could see it happening in 2026. They've not played an international game since the London win against Jacksonville in 2019. Before that, they played a Monday-nighter in Mexico City against the Raiders in 2016.

Lawrence Loya: Dear Drew, How many prime time games do you think the Texans will have?
DD: Three. But there have been years I've predicted more, and I totally overshot. Other years, I've predicted few, and surprised to see they got more. So let's roll with three.

Norma Pantoja: Dear Drew, Will we have a backup quarterback?
DD: Absolutely. C.J. Stroud is the starter and Davis Mills is his backup. Houston just drafted Graham Mertz out of Florida, and Kedon Slovis is also on the roster.

I-Min Michael Mau: Dear Drew, do you see a future for Cade Stover here?
DD: I sure do. The tight end played really well as a rookie in 2024, and I think he'll take another step forward in 2025. He's got a unique skillset, a good rapport with Stroud, and he'll be in a new offense this fall. Plus, he's just gone through his first full offseason as a pro, which is drastically different than what he did last year in preparing for the Combine, Pro Day and the Draft. He's a player I'm excited to watch this year.
