Bill O'Brien, Texans focused solely on Buffalo

The win over New Orleans was nice.

But the Texans are focused on Buffalo.

If the playoffs started today, the Texans would be participants.

But the Texans are focused on Buffalo.

The looming Sunday Night Football matchup at NRG Stadium with the Patriots in Week 14 is intriguing.

But the Texans are focused on Buffalo.

The day after his team dominated the Saints, 24-6, head coach Bill O'Brien stressed the coaches and players are already hard at work getting ready for this Sunday's noon kickoff against the Bills.

"When they come into work on Wednesday, I would say that the majority of them will already have studied the first and second down Buffalo offense, defense, and if they're a core special teams guy for us, then they will have already watched film on Buffalo's special teams."

Following the victory yesterday, O'Brien gave the players Monday off. They always have Tuesday off as well, and will be back together for practice at the Houston Methodist Training Center on Wednesday. But despite not having organized or mandatory practice today, O'Brien said the players were still at NRG Stadium anyways, getting treatments and beginning to prepare for their Week 13 opponent.

"They're all in here," O'Brien said. "I think they just like the fact that they don't have to adhere to a structured schedule."

The head coach added that he and the assistant coaches started preparing for the Bills last night.

O'Brien and the Texans last faced the Bills in Week 4 of 2014, and were victorious by a 23-17 margin.
