The Texans offense scored five touchdowns in Sunday's 41-21 victory over the Patriots in New England.
Quarterback C.J. Stroud threw three touchdowns on the day and guided the offense on seven scoring drives total. It was another excellent performance for the second-year signal-caller, as he and the Texans put up 13 points or more in the first, third and fourth quarters. Aside from a scoreless second quarter, Stroud was pleased with his performance.
"I felt like we were flowing in all aspects, pass and run," Stroud said. "Kind of just slowed down at the end of the first half. Can't do that, but other than that, I feel like we were hitting on all cylinders."
Stroud finished with a passer rating of 100.5, and completed 20-of-31 passes for 192 yards, with three touchdowns and an interception.
"C.J. was very efficient today," Head Coach DeMeco Ryans said. "He was poised, under control, that's who C.J. is. Never gets too high or too low. Very proud of C.J. and the way he played today leading our offense."
Stroud found Tank Dell, Joe Mixon and Stefon Diggs for his touchdown passes.
