Frank Ross is a Hall of Famer.
The Texans Special Teams Coordinator was told Tuesday he'll be inducted into the John Carroll University Athletics Hall of Fame.
Ross started at wide receiver all four years with the Blue Streaks, and is the school's all-time leader in catches with 206. He was twice a team captain, and also a 3-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference member.
He also caught a combined 13 touchdowns from 2007 through 2010.
Ross has coordinated the Texans' special teams since the 2021 season and was honored in February with the Houston Sports Awards' Community Impact Award. Since 2022, he's organized and led the annual "Coach's Cuts" event, in which he, several Texans players, and other members of the organization give free haircuts to the homeless in Houston.
Texans Executive Vice President/General Manager Nick Caserio was inducted into the JCU Athletics Hall of Fame in 2009. In the late 1990's, Caserio was a standout quarterback for the Blue Streaks, and threw for more than 8,000 yards in his college career.
Pro Football Hall of Famer and Super Bowl Champion Head Coach Don Shula, along with Pro Bowl linebacker and 16-year NFL veteran London Fletcher are also in the John Carroll University Athletics Hall of Fame.
