Jon Weeks sets franchise record for consecutive games played

Jon Weeks is an ironman.

When he snapped to punter Trevor Daniel at the 1028 mark of the first quarter in Week 1 at New England, the 9-year veteran set a franchise record for consecutive games played, with 129.

At the end of the 2017 season, Weeks finished tied with kicker Kris Brown at 128 straight starts.

A 2015 Pro Bowler, Weeks joined the Texans in the offseason before 2010. He's snapped to five different punters, as well as five different kickers in that span with the team.

In late August, he was named the team's 'Spirit of the Bull' award winner, which goes to a player who makes an impact on the field and in the community.

Weeks, along with cornerbacks Johnathan Joseph and Kareem Jackson, appeared in all seven playoff games in franchise history.
