There's been a shakeup in the Houston Texans Mock Draft Survey.
In the third and fourth versions, most experts predicted Alabama left tackle Cam Robinson would be Houston's pick at 25 when the NFL Draft happens in late April.
But now in the fifth iteration, the prognosticators are going with Patrick Mahomes, II.
Out of 29 mock drafts, the Texas Tech quarterback was slated as the Texans 25th overall pick by eight different experts, edging Utah offensive lineman Garett Bolles, who garnered seven picks. Notre Dame quarterback DeShone Kizer was slotted to the Texans five times, while Robinson was selected four times.
Mahomes completed 65.7 percent of his passes last season for 5,052 yards, with 41 touchdown passes to 10 interceptions. He also ran for a dozen scores on the ground. In 2015, Mahomes threw for 4,653 yards, with 36 scores and 15 interceptions. He guided the Red Raiders to a Texas Bowl appearance that year.
15 of the mock drafters had the Texans selecting a quarterback, compared to 12 taking an offensive lineman. A linebacker and safety were chosen on the other two mocks.
