With just over two weeks until the start of the first round, the experts have the Texans taking a quarterback.
The 8th version of the HoustonTexans.com Mock Draft Survey went around the web and looked at some of the more notable mock drafts. In all, we tabulated the results from 33 different mocks. Again, quarterback was the most popular choice for the Texans at 25, as 21 of the 33 experts (64%) went with a signal caller. Of those quarterbacks, Texas Tech's Patrick Mahomes, II was the most-mocked player to the Texans with 11 (33%) selections.
However, Clemson quarterback DeShaun Watson saw his numbers jump, and he was the second-most mocked player to Houston. The National Title winner garnered six (18%) votes in mock drafts.Offensive line was the choice for nine (27%) different mock drafters, and of those linemen Cam Robinson from Alabama was the most-mocked to the Texans with four (12%).
