April is finally here.
The NFL Draft gets going in Philadelphia on Thursday, April 27 and the Texans own the 25th overall pick.
The latest version of the HoustonTexans.com Mock Draft Survey went around the web and came up with 33 notable experts' mock drafts.Â
Over the past few months, the majority of mockers have shifted from the Texans taking an offensive lineman
in the first round. The last few iterations have seen most mock drafts with a quarterback headed to Houston, and the latest holds true with that.
19 of 33 mock drafts said signal caller at 25 for the Texans.Â
Texas Tech quarterback Patrick Mahomes, II garnered the most selections, as nine of 33 prognosticators picked him for Houston. Last season he accounted for over 5,000 passing yards, 41 touchdowns and just 10 interceptions. Mahomes also scrambled for 12 other scores.Â
Wisconsin offensive lineman Ryan Ramczyk was the second-most mocked player to the Texans, with four selections.
A trio of quarterbacks in Mitchell Trubisky (UNC), DeShaun Watson (Clemson) and Deshone Kizer (Notre Dame) were mocked three times apiece to Houston. So too, was Alabama offensive lineman Cam Robinson.
