Texans to meet with Johnny Manziel

After Thursday's highly-anticipated Pro Day, Manziel met with NFL teams, including the Houston Texans.

"He will come to Houston and we will visit with him actually this afternoon, privately," general manager and executive vice president Rick Smith said in an exclusive interview with HoustonTexans.com. "We don't need to work him out but we'll meet with him and watch some film and get on board in talking football with him, just spend a little bit more time with him. Again, trying to get to know him, trying to process everything is an exhaustive process. You want to get to know as much about these young men as you can so you can be accurate in your assessment. That's what we'll continue to do now and throughout the next few weeks."

Manziel's Pro Day was well-attended with 75 NFL representatives from 30 teams present, including eight head coaches and eight general managers. President George H.W. Bush and wife Barbara were also present.
