Texans to wear Color Rush uniforms for franchise homecoming

Houston hosts the Packers on Sunday at NRG Stadium, and there'll be a slew of former Texans in the building as part of Homecoming presented by Chevron.

The Texans will don their Color Rush jerseys and pants for the first time in 2020, and it'll be the sixth game in which they've worn that combo. They've won all five of the previous contests in those uniforms, and quarterback Deshaun Watson started his first NFL game at Cincinnati in those unis.

Original Houston Texan Mike Quinn will lead the team out of the tunnel as the Homefield Advantage Team Captain, and Grammy-nominated singer Mike Eli of the Eli Young Band will sing the National Anthem.

40 former players in attendance will get recognized in the third quarter, and throughout the game there will be several special video messages from former Houston Texans players, as well as Houston Texans Cheerleaders Alumni.

Last year when the Texans wore the Color Rush uniforms, they defeated the Colts and Patriots in Weeks 12 and 13, respectively.
