Jerry Schuplinski enters his second season with the Houston Texans and first as the quarterbacks coach. In his first season with Houston, Schuplinksi served as the senior offensive assistant/pass game specialist. Before joining the Texans, he spent the 2024 season as a senior assistant with the Los Angeles Rams.

During the 2025 season, Schuplinski, helped the passing game finish tied for the NFL's 11th-most completions (364), the 14th-most passing yards (3,707), the ninth-fewest interceptions (nine) and the ninth-highest TD/Int. Ratio (2.7). QB C.J. Stroud became the fourth quarterback in franchise history to throw for 10,000 career passing yards, recorded the third-most passing touchdowns (62) in franchise history and set a career-high in completion percentage (64.5%). Additionally, Stroud threw for 3,000 yards for the third consecutive season, tying Deshaun Watson for the second most seasons (three) with at least 3,000 passing yards in franchise history. WR Nico Collins also recorded his third consecutive 1,000-yard receiving season, joining Andre Johnson and DeAndre Hopkins as the only players in franchise history to do so.

In 2024, Schuplinski served on a coaching staff that helped the Rams rank 10th in the NFL in passing yards per game (227.5). Highlighted in the Rams' offensive success following his return from injury in Week 8, WR Puka Nacua finished the season with the fourth-most receptions (75) and receiving yards (955) in that span and became the second player in NFL history to record at least 150 receptions, 2,000 receiving yards, and nine receiving touchdowns in his first 25 career games. Additionally, the Rams receiving corps had just 15 drops, the sixth fewest in the NFL. Furthermore, QB Matthew Stafford surpassed 3,000 passing yards in a season for the 12th time in his career, becoming the 13th-different quarterback to accomplish the feat in NFL history.

In 2023, Schuplinski coached tight ends for the Las Vegas Raiders and played a role in the development of rookie TE Michael Mayer. Among rookie tight ends that season, Mayer finished fifth in receptions (27), receiving yards (304), yards after the catch (164) and was third in first down receptions (19).

In his first season with the Raiders during the 2022 campaign, Schuplinski served as a senior offensive assistant and helped the offense finish in the top-12 in total offense (352.5 yards per game), passing offense (231.4 yards per game), and scoring offense (23.2 points per game). Three offensive players for the Raiders earned Pro Bowl nods that season including QB Derek Carr, RB Josh Jacobs, and WR Davante Adams.

Before his time in Las Vegas, he spent two seasons with the New York Giants serving as the quarterback's coach. In 2021, Schuplinski led a group that saw three different signal callers make starts as a result of injuries. In his second season under Schuplinski's guidance, QB Daniel Jones established a career high in completion percentage (64.3%) after completing 232-of-361 attempts during the regular season.

In 2020 during his first year with the Giants, Schuplinski helped the Giants quarterbacks complete 62.1% of their passes, which was the seventh-highest single-season mark in franchise history. That season, Jones had a stretch of 177 passing attempts without an interception and had 65 rushing attempts for 423 yards, marking the second-highest total and the record for a Giants quarterback in the Super Bowl era. Jones' 6.5-yard rushing average was the NFL's highest among the 91 players with at least 50 rushing attempts in 2020.

Schuplinski was the quarterbacks coach for the Miami Dolphins in 2019 and helped the offense finish 12th in passing yards per game (237.8). He helped veteran QB Ryan Fitzpatrick throw for 20 touchdowns, his highest total since 2015.

Before joining the Dolphins staff, Schlupinski spent six seasons with the New England Patriots from 2013-18. He served as a coaching assistant before a three-year stint as the team's assistant quarterbacks coach from 2016-18 working closely with QB Tom Brady. New England won three Super Bowls (XLIX, LI, and LII), four AFC titles, and advanced to the conference championship game in every season Schuplinski was on staff under Bill Belichick.

In his final year on the Patriots staff in 2018, New England finished eighth in passing, averaging 266.1 net passing yards per game. Brady was seventh in the NFL with 4,355 passing yards and 10th with 29 touchdown passes, earning his 14th Pro Bowl selection. The previous season, Schuplinski helped Brady win his third Most Valuable Player Award. Brady was the NFL's leading passer, throwing for 4,577 yards. While his 32 passing touchdowns and 102.8 passer rating were both third in the league. The Patriots also led the NFL in total offense, averaging 394.2 yards per game, and finished second in scoring, with an average of 28.6 points per game.

In his first season as assistant quarterbacks coach in 2016, the Patriots won Super Bowl LI and Brady was named Super Bowl MVP after passing for 466 yards and two touchdowns in a dramatic come-from-behind victory over the Atlanta Falcons. That season, Patriots quarterbacks set an NFL record with 258 passing attempts without an interception to start the year. Brady missed the first four games of the season and Schuplinski mentored quarterbacks Jimmy Garoppolo and Jacoby Brissett, who guided the team to a 3-1 start in Brady's absence.

As a coaching assistant from 2013-15, the Patriots won Super Bowl XLIX and registered a 36-12 regular season record.

Before his time in New England, Schuplinski spent six seasons as the linebackers and special teams coach at Case Western Reserve in Cleveland from 2007-12. During his tenure, he mentored 22 University Athletic Association (NCAA Division III) all-conference selections.

Schuplinski also was the head coach and athletics director at Trinity High School in his hometown of Garfield Heights, Ohio, from 2002-06.

He began his coaching career as a running backs and special teams coach at his alma mater, John Carroll, from 2000-01. He played football collegiately at John Carroll and was teammates with NFL personnel such as former NFL General Manager Dave Ziegler, former NFL Head Coach Josh McDaniels, former NFL Linebacker London Fletcher, and Houston Texans General Manager Nick Caserio.

Schuplinski graduated with a bachelor's degree in business administration/marketing and a master's degree in business administration.

He and his wife, Megan, have four daughters, Macy, Bryn, Jaxi and Josy.
