Jeff Schmitz serves as Vice President and Chief Information Officer for the Houston Texans, bringing more than two decades of experience leading technology strategy and operations for the organization. In this role, he oversees all aspects of the club's technology ecosystem, including infrastructure, enterprise applications, software development, cybersecurity, data platforms, and end-user services, supporting both football operations and business operations.

In this role, he oversees all aspects of the club's technology ecosystem, including infrastructure, enterprise applications, software development, cybersecurity, data platforms, and end-user services, supporting both football operations and business operations.

Schmitz is responsible for shaping and executing the Texans' long-term technology strategy, ensuring that secure, reliable, and innovative systems power the organization's performance on and off the field. His leadership spans stadium technology, enterprise architecture, data center and cloud platforms, unified communications, and information security, enabling critical capabilities for the Texans organization.

Schmitz joined McNair Interests in 1997, where he held roles in the treasury and accounting departments before transitioning to information technology in 2001 as Manager of Information Technology. Throughout his tenure, he has led major initiatives including stadium and facility technology infrastructure, enterprise system modernization, cybersecurity and compliance programs, and the deployment of advanced communications and digital platforms that support game day operations, player performance, and fan engagement.

Schmitz earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Pittsburg State University in Kansas.
