Andre Johnson could be game-time decision; CBs miss practice

Andre Johnson could be a game-time decision for Sunday against Seattle. Johnson has lingering soreness from a shin bruise suffered during the Texans' 30-9 loss at Baltimore.

"We'll see where we're at tomorrow," Kubiak said on Wednesday. "He did some today. I think Andre's going to do everything he can to be there. He is very sore today. We'll let it run its course and see how he's feeling."

Cornerbacks Johnathan Joseph and Kareem Jackson also were on the sidelines during practice. Joseph had a sore toe while Jackson was sick, according to Kubiak. Inside linebacker Darryl Sharpton was also out with a sore foot.

Garrett Graham practiced but was limited. Graham played at Baltimore, but did not participate last Thursday due to an issue with his hip/groin.

Wade Smith and Owen Daniels had a rest day.

Despite the lean roster at practice, Kubiak was encouraged by the team's work on Wednesday and said it was their best of the year.

"We were missing a lot of players and I think the reason we practiced really good is because I think our young guys are starting to practice better, the practice squad guys and those type of guys," Kubiak said. "We understand what type of team we're fixing to play and we've got to play a lot better than we have played and so I liked our sense of urgency today."
