Andre Johnson limited in practice

Andre Johnson, still dealing with soreness in his shin, was limited in practice Thursday.

"Yeah, his leg's still sore," head coach Gary Kubiak said. "Moved around a little bit yesterday, he took a little bit today."

The All-Pro wide receiver, who took a knee to the shin in Baltimore and left in the third quarter, was also limited in practice last week but was able to fully participate by Friday.

On Wednesday, Johnson had a rest day and did not participate during the team's light jog-through practice. With veteran players, Kubiak often institutes a rest day during the week.

"Just working through the soreness and also kind of a part of the protocol that we follow with him, where he's a limited practicing guy right now anyways with what we are doing," Kubiak said.

Johnson has not missed a start this season despite undergoing the league's concussion protocol after Week 2 and dealing with the shin bruise in Week 3. In Sunday's 23-20 overtime loss, he caught 9 passes for 110 yards.  Johnson is currently tied for the NFL lead with 34 receptions for a team best of 368 yards this season.
