Astronaut, Texans fan Scott Kelly back on Earth

NASA astronaut and Texans fan Scott Kelly returned to Earth Tuesday night after nearly a year in space. It concluded the longest mission of any U.S. astronaut.

While on the 340-day mission, Kelly performed various scientific studies with his crewmates, tweeted pictures, answered questions from Earth, and even supported his favorite NFL team, the Texans, from space during the 2015 season.

Kelly, the Expedition 46 Commander, and Russian cosmonauts Mikhail Kornienko and Sergey Volkov landed late Tuesday night in the Kazakhstan desert, according to NASA. The crew performed almost 400 scientific studies while on the year-long mission.
