Clowney, Foster not playing vs. Broncos

Four starters will not dress for the Texans' third preseason game at Denver: Jadeveon Clowney, Arian Foster, Chris Myers, and Johnathan Joseph. J.J. Watt, Andre Johnson, and Brian Cushing are noticeabley absent from the list of inactives, but whether or not they will play will be a gametime decision.

After three days of joint practices with the Broncos, head coach Bill O'Brien likely wants to rest his starters for Week 1 of the regular season against Washington. Jadeveon Clowey, who missed the end of Wednesday and all of Thursday's practice, was not expected to not play following a hit late in Wednesday's drills. Veteran center Chris Myers did not practice all week in Denver with an undisclosed issue that O'Brien referred to as "nothing serious."

-Whitney Mercilus will start for Clowney
