Clowney, Martin will return to practice

Jadeveon Clowney and Nick Martin could see action in the Texans preseason game against New Orleans.

"I think on the injury front we're pretty much status quo right now," head coach Bill O'Brien said in his Monday press conference. "I would expect that (Jadeveon) Clowney and Nick Martin would be back at practice sometime this week."

Clowney had been dealing with knee soreness. Martin, the rookie center, had a back issue. The two, who did not practice last week, also did not travel for the preseason opener against the 49ers.

The Texans will host joint practice against the New Orleans Saints on Thursday and the two teams will face each other on Saturday in Week 2 of the preseason. Kickoff at NRG Stadium is set for 7 p.m. on ABC-13 and SportsRadio 610.
