DeAndre Hopkins back at practice, continues to impress

Wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins was back at practice on Saturday morning after leaving early on Friday afternoon with cramps.

The first-round draft pick from Clemson continues to catch everything in sight.

"Obviously, he's got great ball skills and he works hard," Texans offensive coordinator Rick Dennison said. "We're putting a lot on these guys and he's working at it. He has good size, good ball skills and he's getting better."

Dennison said Hopkins has been just what the Texans thought he would be from film study.

"I think our evaluation was pretty good," Dennison said. "He's right where we want him. We just have to keep developing and keep working at it."

Texans defensive coordinator Wade Phillips also likes what he has seen out of Hopkins, whose strong hands and impressive catching radius have been on display in the first two days of rookie mini-camp.

"He looks good," Phillips said on Saturday afternoon. "The guy catches everything, and that's the first thing you look for in a receiver, that he catches the ball really well. He's made some great catches in practice, so we're impressed with him."
