All-Pro left tackle Duane Brown was the first Texan to make an appearance on this year's 'The Top 100 players of 2014' program. On Wednesday night, NFL Network unveiled Brown at No. 86 on the list that is voted on by players.
"He's very difficult to get around, very difficult to win rushes against," Terrell Suggs, Baltimore's all-time sack leader, said on the show.
Brown played in his second-consecutive Pro Bowl this year, and garnered All-Pro honors in 2011 and 2012. Despite the Texans 2-14 record and a nagging toe injury, Brown started 14 games last year. His blocking in Week 13 helped lead to a franchise-record four rushing touchdowns against New England.
"He has some vice grips some hands," Rams defensive end Robert Quinn said. "If he locks hold of you, you're pretty much done for that play."
This offseason, Brown added 20 pounds and says he is currently in the best shape of his life. The six-year veteran vows to make the 2014-15 season the best of his career.
