Houston Texans president Jamey Rootes awarded Steinberg DeNicola Humanitarian award

The Houston Texans organization is proud to announce Texans president Jamey Rootes as one of the 2020 Steinberg DeNicola Humanitarian award winners. The Steinberg DeNicola Humanitarian award is given to representatives of the NFL that have committed themselves to doing good in their community - and our very own Jamey Rootes has exemplified just that.

Rootes, who has served as president of the Texans since their founding in 2002, preaches a constant focus on bettering the community through three strategic community partners: the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston, the Houston Texans YMCA and the Houston Food Bank. By concentrating resources, the Houston Texans organization has maximized its impact amount for these partners. With Rootes' leadership, more than $1 million has been donated annually and hundreds of thousands of youth have been served through the grant programs and strategic community partners. In total, the Houston Texans Foundation has generated more than $32 million, focused solely on enhancing the quality of life for Houston youth.

The Houston Texans organization would like to congratulate Jamey Rootes on this extraordinary achievement!
