Darryl Sharpton will split time with inside linebacker Joe Mays on Sunday against Tennessee, after missing the season opener at San Diego. Sharpton, who was diagnosed with a concussion before the New Orleans game, also missed the Texans' final two preseason games.
"He's fine," head coach Gary Kubiak said. "He's ready to go, so he'll be up. Ready to go. Play special teams. He and Joe will probably split some time inside at linebacker, but he's ready to go."
Sharpton, entering his fourth season with the Texans, returned to practice this week. The fourth-year linebacker passed the fifth and final stage of the league's concussion protocol on Thursday.
