The Houston Texans will be presented with the NFL Team of the Year award at the 58th Annual All-American Scholars Banquet this Saturday, May 26.
This honor is being given by the Pop Warner Little Scholars, the nation's oldest youth football, cheer and dance organization - and the only one with established academic standards.
Along with honoring Pop Warner student-athletes who earned All-American Scholar status by achieving 96% GPA or higher, the Houston Texans will proudly be alongside them to accept such a high honor.
“When it came time to choose our 2018 NFL Team of the Year, we couldn’t think of a more deserving team” said Jon Butler, Pop Warner Little Scholars' executive director. “Not only have the Texans created an outstanding youth football program that gives thousands of children the opportunity to play football, their philanthropic initiatives following Hurricane Harvey were truly incredible. It’s hard to imagine the devastation felt throughout Houston, but the way that the Texans came together to support their city in its time of need is something that should be recognized.”The Houston Texans will be presented with the NFL Team of the Year award at the 58th Annual All-American Scholars Banquet this Saturday, May 26.
Texans ambassador and former OL Fred Weary will be accepting the award on the Houston Texans behalf.
