The last time the Texans faced the Jets was in a Monday night matchup at MetLife Stadium on Oct. 8, 2012. Arian Foster rushed for 152 yards and a touchdown in Houston's 23-17 win over the Jets.

The Texans defense lost Brian Cushing, who led the team in tackles heading into the game, early in the second quarter to a season-ending knee injury. J.J. Watt finished the game with a sack, six tackles, two quarterback hits and three passes defensed.

Mark Sanchez was intercepted twice, including once by Kareem Jackson with less than two minutes remaining in the game. Watt tipped Sanchez's final pass of the game with 0:04 left to seal the victory.

The Texans will host the Jets on Sunday in their annual Salute to Service Day game. Kickoff is set for noon CT on CBS KHOU-11 and SportsRadio 610.
