Texans defense holds Rams to FGs early

The Texans defense held the Los Angeles Rams to just three field goals in the first half of Sunday's game. Jared Goff and the No. 1 ranked Rams offense converted six first downs and was just 3-of-9 on third down.

Houston committed two turnovers in the first half, but the defense was able to keep the Rams from scoring a touchdown. The Rams first offensive drive began at the Houston 12-yard line after a strip sack on Tom Savage. The defense limited L.A. to just three yards on four plays.

Johnathan Joseph, Jadeveon Clowney, Kareem Jackson, and Kevin Johnson each had three tackles. Clowney also recorded 1.0 sack for a loss of 11 yards, three tackles for loss and one quarterback hit.

The Texans trail the Rams 9-7 at halftime from the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
