Texans to host Raiders on Saturday in playoffs

The Texans will host the Oakland Raiders next weekend in the wild card round of the playoffs.

Kickoff is set for Saturday, January 7 at 3:35 p.m. CT on ESPN/ABC inside NRG Stadium.

Because Kansas City won and Oakland lost, the Raiders will face the 4-seed Texans.

Houston, whether it beat the Titans or not on Sunday in Nashville, was locked into the fourth spot in the AFC playoff picture. The Texans lost to Tennessee, 24-17.

The Texans fell to the Raiders in Mexico City in Week 11. Oakland triumphed, 27-20, at Estadio Azteca, as they overcame a seven-point fourth quarter deficit by scoring two touchdowns in the game's final 11 minutes. Left tackle Duane Brown shared his thoughts on the rematch.

"We're familiar with them," Brown said of the Raiders. "We'd love to get another shot at them. They're a great team. They're very, very competitive on defense."

The Raiders finished 12-4, but lost starting quarterback Derek Carr to a leg injury in Week 16.
