Texans' weight-loss plan

In order to lose weight, you must cut calories.  Simple tips to cut calories include eliminating sweet drinks like soda, sweet tea, fruit punch and lemonade.  Alcohol has a lot of calories, so don't forget to reduce the alcohol.

A simple plan would include:

* Breakfast:*

1 cup cooked oatmeal or a packet of instant regular oatmeal with cinnamon and Splenda

2-3 scoops of egg whites or 2-3 hard boiled egg whites on the weekend

Unlimited fresh fruit

1 carton of yogurt or 1 glass of  skim milk

* After workout:*

6 oz of juice

1 scoop whey protein

OR a glass of skim chocolate milk

* Lunch:*

6 oz of lean protein, grilled chicken, fish, lean beef or pork (no fried food)

1 small potato or ½ of rice (about the size of the palm of your hand)

Unlimited cooked vegetables

Unlimited salad with low fat dressing

Unlimited fresh fruit

1 glass of reduced fat or skim milk

* Dinner:*

A repeat of lunch

* Snacks:*

Low fat yogurt, Low fat popcorn. No eating after 8 p.m.
