The latest on Andre Johnson, Duane Brown

Andre Johnson is day-to-day with a shin bruise he suffered in Sunday's 30-9 loss at Baltimore. Johnson left in the third quarter after being kicked in the shin earlier in the game. He did not return.

"Andre is doing better today," head coach Gary Kubiak said Monday. "He has a shin bruise. As a matter of a fact, I just walked by him in there. He's going to be day-to-day, but he did come out OK. All the X-rays are fine. It's just a matter of working him back through it, probably a day-to-day process."

Left tackle Duane Brown made progress Monday after missing Sunday's game with a toe injury.

"Duane did go on the field today with the trainers," Kubiak said. "He is better, but I still think it's going to be a day-to-day process as we work to the weekend."

Brown did not travel with the team to Baltimore. Swing tackle Ryan Harris was the starter in Brown's absence in Sunday's game.
