Tom Savage exits game, T.J. Yates in at QB

Tom Savage headed to the locker room in the first half of Sunday's game against the San Francisco 49ers. Savage completed 6-of-12 for 63 yards before exiting with a concussion.

T.J. Yates took over with 2:32 left in the second quarter. On his first and only series of the first half, Yates was 4-of-6 for 54 yards and a touchdown, adding a 15-yard scramble for a first down. DeAndre Hopkins had a catch-and-run for a 25-yard gain deep in San Francisco territory. On the next play, Hopkins caught a 7-yard touchdown pass to cap off the nine-play, 75-yard drive.

The Texans trail the 49ers 13-9 at halftime.
