Unofficial Depth Chart has new backup for Arian Foster

The Texans latest depth chart had some shuffling at running back, a position that's seen a lot of turnover in the past 24 hours.

The unofficial depth chart, listed in this week's preseason media release, was affected by the addition of free agents Ronnie Brown and William Powell and release of Dennis Johnson, Andre Brown, and Tim Cornett. Last week, Andre Brown was second on the depth chart behind Arian Foster.

While he did not dress for Saturday's game at Arizona, Foster could still play this week if he practices against Atlanta. If not, he'll be backed up by Jonathan Grimes and Alfred Blue, who both led the team in rushing against the Cardinals.

Ryan Fitzpatrick remains the starting quarterback heading into the second week of preseason. When asked if Case Keenum and Tom Savage were still battling for the backup quarterback spot, head coach Bill O'Brien's response was simple.

"Yes," O'Brien said in his press conference on Monday.

The Texans will face the Atlanta Falcons in their second preseason game on Saturday, August 16 at NRG Stadium (7 p.m. on KTRK ABC-13 and SportsRadio 610).
