What's cookin'

This season on Fox Sports Southwest's "Texans Huddle" show, various Texans players will be showcasing their favorite recipes for a segement called "What's Cookin'." Next up is kicker Kris Brown's runza casserole.

Previous recipes: **Eric Brown's dry-rub ribs** | **Fred Weary's roast** | **Moran Norris' steak** | Corey Sears' chicken with mushroom sauce

Ingredients:

2 lbs. Ground Beef

¼ cup chopped onions

1 ½ teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon pepper

4 cups chopped cabbage

2 cases of regular size crescent rolls

1 can cream of mushroom soup

1 bag of shredded mild cheddar cheese

Directions:

  1. Brown 2 lbs. Of ground beef until brown
  1. While frying beef, toss in ¼ cup of chopped onions, 1 ½ teaspoon salt, ½ teaspoon pepper and mix, make sure to chop up beef good
  1. Once beef is brown drain out all of the grease
  1. Mix in 4 cups of chopped cabbage with the beef and let it simmer on medium heat for about 15 minutes
  1. After 15 minutes mix in 1 can of cream of mushroom soup
  1. Using a greased 13 x 9 pan, spread one roll of crescent roll dough along the bottom of the pan
  1. Take the meat and spread it evenly on top of the spread out crescent roll
  1. Evenly spread 1 bag of shredded mild cheddar cheese across the meat
  1. Spread second roll of crescent roll dough across the cheese
  1. Cook for 20 to 30 minutes
  1. ENJOY!
