What's cookin'


This season on Fox Sports Southwest's "Texans Huddle" show, various Texans players will be showcasing their favorite recipes for a segement called "What's Cookin'."


Next up is defensive end Corey Sears, who dishes out his chicken with mushroom sauce.

Ingredients:

LAWRY'S season salt

McCORMICK'S cajun seasoning

Garlic Powder

Skinless chicken

Salt

Pepper

2 bags NO-YOLK pasta noodles

3 big cans CAMPBELL'S cream-of-mushroom soup

1 jar mushrooms with garlic

Directions:

  1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees
  1. Fill large pot about 2/3 full with water, and place on stove on high heat
  1. Season water with approximately ½ cup of LAWRY'S season salt, ½ cup MCCORMICK'S cajun seasoning, and a few teaspoons garlic powder
  1. Add a dash or two of olive oil to water
  1. Wash chicken thoroughly with cold water
  1. Season chicken with desired amount of salt and pepper
  1. Sprinkle chicken with garlic powder, cajun seasoning, and season salt, and use hands to rub in seasonings
  1. Add chicken to water, and cover with lid. Boil chicken for 20-30 minutes, or until meat is falling off the bone
  1. While chicken cooks, cook pasta as directed on back of package
  1. Pour cream-of-mushroom soup in a bowl
  1. Stir mushrooms with garlic into soup
  1. Remove chicken from pot, and place in pyrex cooking dish
  1. Pour sauce over chicken until completely covered
  1. Place chicken in oven for approximately 10-15 minutes, or until sauce is bubbly
  1. Serve chicken over pasta, and ENJOY!
