West Virginia Governor Jim Justice has a front-row seat every day at Texans training camp at The Greenbrier and not just because it takes place at his resort.
The governor is a fan.
"In all honesty, what a program you've got going on," Justice said on Texans Radio. "I mean, you guys can win it all. You really can. You're right on the cusp of winning it all and what an incredible performance you went through last year. I mean, it was unbelievable what you were able to accomplish. This is the real deal and we're really happy to have you."
The governor's has several close ties to the city of Houston. His sister resides there. He also grew up playing basketball with Houston Rockets head coach Mike D'Antoni in grade school through high school in West Virginia. D'Antoni, who has a residence in West Virginia, has also attended a Texans training camp practice.
Justice, who owns over 100 business, purchased The Greenbrier property in 2009 and rescued it from bankruptcy. He brought the PGA tour, NFL and NBA training camps and a number of major events to The Greenbrier.
