The latest winner of the Houston Texans Small Business Boost presented by Amegy Bank is Cochinita & co. and owner Victoria. Cochinita and Co. is a woman- and immigrant-owned business that has managed to reinvent itself following the pandemic. Conchinita & co. is currently serving its take on vibrant Mexican food daily under the same roof as Kickin's Local Market. For winning, Cohinita & co. will receive a $2,500 grant and marketing support from the Texans. Through the Small Business Boost, the Texans and Amegy Bank have awarded $27,500 in grants to small businesses. Learn more here.

Operation FINALLY HOME, the Texans and local home builders dedicated a new mortgage-free home for U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Stephen Netzley and his daughter Mrazy. Stephen and his daughter were surprised on Nov. 23, 2020 with the news they were receiving the home by TORO, Texans Cheerleaders and representatives from Operation FINALLY HOME.

The McNair Foundation donated a $100,000 grant to the Houston Texans YMCA to support the YMCA Academy and Summer Day Camp. This camp will support 50 elementary-age students at the Houston Texans YMCA that have been affected by the pandemic's disruption of traditional education.

Texans DB Lonnie Johnson Jr. hosted the inaugural 'Protect the Youth' Football Camp, inviting more than 300 campers between the ages of 8-18 years old in Gary, Indiana on Saturday, June 12th for hands-on football experience.

Texans Legend Wade Smith, Chief of Police Troy Finner, Houston Texans Cheerleaders and TORO joined Houston Police Officers and Youth to give away 300 kits in total to youth in the community at Emancipation Park through the HPD PAL program. Kits were filled with footballs, jump ropes, sidewalk chalk and more.

Coaches in attendance were able to hear from Texans Special Teams Coordinator Frank Ross and learn about the latest in health and player safety from top experts in the area. After the event, Coaches are able to apply for grants for their school or program of up to $25,000.
