Mike Tomon was named President of the Houston Texans in January 2025. Tomon oversees the direction and management of all Texans' business operations including marketing, communications, broadcasting, ticket sales and services, event services, corporate partnerships, community relations, data analytics and insights, accounting, legal, human resources and general administration, as well as overseeing all aspects of Lone Star Sports & Entertainment (LSSE).
The organization's business operations achieved landmark success during the 2025 Season, including reaching club records in several key categories – ticket revenue, social media, communications, retail and foundation. In addition to launching two new ultra-premium experiences for fans beginning in the 2026 Season, the team also climbed into the top five in the NFL's Voice of the Fan survey, which measures Season Ticket Member experiences and game attendees' satisfaction with their gameday experience throughout the regular season. The 2025 Kinder's Texas Bowl was also the most profitable in LSSE and ESPN history.
With nearly 25 years of sports and entertainment experience, Tomon believes in providing a world-class experience for fans and is continuing to build connections with them as the organization prepares for transformative moments from a business perspective.
The Texans announced plans for a 365-day destination for partners, fans and families in February 2026 called the Toro District. In partnership with Harris County and Howard Hughes Communities, the transformative new sports and entertainment development in Bridgeland will span 83 acres and will be the new home of the Texans outside of gameday. As the organization enters a growth phase, this will be the catalyst for its next chapter and provide the team with a competitive advantage while inspiring hope in Houston. Anchored by the team's state-of-the-art headquarters, the world-class project will include an indoor fieldhouse and three outdoor NFL training fields. The fieldhouse will double as a dynamic event venue, capable of accommodating a wide range of public and private gatherings. The headquarters and athletic complex will significantly expand training capabilities while unlocking new opportunities for youth programming, community engagement and educational partnerships. In addition to the Texans' headquarters, the transformational economic development project introduces nearly two million square feet of walkable office, healthcare, hospitality and entertainment space.
In 2025, LSSE acquired League One Volleyball (LOVB) Houston. Currently in its second season, LOVB boasts the largest community in youth volleyball, and its professional league features teams in Atlanta, Austin, Houston, Madison, Nebraska and Salt Lake City.
In order to ensure the team's business operations are operating for current and long-term success, Tomon elevated five leaders of his executive team in January 2026. Tomon was also named to The Business Journals' Texas 100 List in January, which celebrates influential leaders in Houston, Austin, Dallas and San Antonio who are expected to make an impact in their industries in the coming year. In 2025, the organization earned a Diversity in Business Award from the Houston Business Journal, which celebrates organizations that have contributed to harnessing diversity within their workforces and actively promote and champion diversity within the community or their industries.
