2021 Taste of the Texans

On Saturday, February 10th, the Houston Texans Senior Showcase presented by Gatorade took place at the Houston Methodist Training Center. Over 350 local area high school seniors participated in combine style drills for more than (40) DII, DIII, & NAIA colleges/university.

The Houston Texans opened the doors to NRG Stadium and rolled out the red carpet for the second annual Season Premiere presented by Amegy Bank. The event debuted the 2023 team roster, Texans Legends, HTC, TORO and more!

To celebrate TDECU's donation to Houston-area YMCAs, TDECU and Houston Texans player, Jimmy Morrissey, visited the Houston Texans YMCA to visit with students and participate in a game of financial literacy Jeopardy! Learn more about how TDECU is involved in the Houston community here.

On Dec. 16, Texans WR Nico Collins hosted a shopping spree for 12 kids from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston at Academy Sports + Outdoors. Collins, in partnership with Academy, helped fulfill items from the kids' holiday wish lists including bikes, games, footwear, apparel, team sports gear and more.

The Houston Texans, ConocoPhillips, Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages and Ashley awarded $400,000 through the Inspire Change Grant Fund to 15 local nonprofits and educational programs working to make a difference in the Houston community.

Grant recipients were celebrated at a reception at NRG Stadium with Texans President Greg Grissom, Vice President of the Texans Foundation Hannah McNair, DL Maliek Collins, DL Rasheem Green, WR Chris Moore, DL Dayo Odeleye, RB Dare Ogunbowale, DL Ogbo Okoronkwo and Texans Legends.

Taste of the Texans presented by Coca-Cola benefited the Houston Texans Foundation and the Houston Food Bank, and featured food from more than 25 of Houston's top restaurants. Guests sampled each restaurant while raising funds to fight hunger in the community alongside players, legends and more.

In celebration of My Cause My Cleats, Houston Texans wide receivers will wear cleats honoring WR John Metchie III and his battle against leukemia.

To echo Bob and Janice McNair's commitment to H-Town, this Founder's Day, the Texans are highlighting youth mental health. Members of the organization created encouragement jars with positive affirmations for kids across Harris, Ford Bend and Montgomery counties through Family Houston.

More than 100 active military members and USAA came out to Texans Camp to watch practice and attend a Boot Camp at the Houston Methodist Training Center.

The Texans and Reliant surprised six local high school student-athletes with $10,000 college scholarships for exhibiting remarkable leadership.

Texans Pup Kirby turned one year old! We celebrated with Kroger and some of Kirby's adoptable friends from Harris County Pets!

The Texans are donating $400,000 to the Robb School Memorial Fund, which will provide financial assistance directly to the community. Texans players led the donation effort, coming together to give $200,000 for monetary aid and wellness support through the local fund. In support of the players' and football operations staff's generosity, the organization is matching their gift.

Students from J. Ruth Smith Elementary came out to Kroger for a scavenger hunt around the store and to learn about healthy choices when it comes to food. We partner with the Houston Food Bank and Kroger on the Huddle Against Hunger curriculum filled with fun activities, recipes and more to teach kids empathy and understanding around hunger.

Members of the Boys & Girls Club wrote about what their mom means to them and four of the moms were invited to Kroger for a Mother's Day reception presented by Coca-Cola. Each mother received their kid's framed drawing and a gift certificate to Kroger from Tremon Smith.

Houston Texans players, coaches and executives joined scores of charitable golfers for a day on the links to benefit the Houston Texans Foundation on Monday, May 9 at River Oaks Country Club. The 19th Annual Houston Texans Charity Golf Classic presented by your local Houston area BMW Centers raised well over $390,000 this year, contributing to the more than $37 million raised for the Houston Texans Foundation since its inception in 2002.

The Houston Texans and Chevron hosted a party to celebrate the Houston Texans Teen Club members graduating from high school. Texans DB Terrence Brooks, LB Blake Cashman, WR Chris Moore, QB Jeff Driskel, TORO and Texans Cheerleaders helped hand out certificates to the grads and give out awards to the Houston Texans Teen Club members who dedicated the most time to the Chevron Market Pantry service program.

The Houston Texans and Amegy Bank teamed up to host the inaugural Small Business Boost Breakfast on March 11. The Small Business Boost program was created to support and recognize local small businesses and their importance to the fabric of our community. At the breakfast, previous winners and finalists were able to join together to hear from a panel of Houston business leaders and network with other small businesses in the community.
