High School Football Programs
What's better than football under the Friday night lights? The Houston Texans along with Legends, Cheerleaders, and others are stopping by four high school football matchups this season! Click the link below to find out if your game is one of our Friday Night stops!
The Houston Texans Senior Showcase fueled by Gatorade provides a unique opportunity for high school seniors to display their talents through a series of football-related drills and stations, in hopes of receiving academic scholarships to non–Division I colleges and universities. In 2023, more than 40 colleges and universities were on hand at the event to speak with the 400 student-athletes individually and watch them perform. Since 2009, more than $145 million in scholastic aid and more than 1,500 scholarships have been awarded through this program.
Nominate a Greater Houston-area high school coach you know for Coach of the Week presented by Houston Methodist! Every week during the high school season, one coach will be recognized for their positive impact on student athletes, their community, and football program. Each coach will receive recognition on HoustonTexans.com and social media, a certificate signed by Houston Texans Head Coach DeMeco Ryans, and a $2,500 grant for their football program.
At the conclusion of the high school football season, a Coach of the Year will be selected from the 2022 Coach of the Week winners. They will receive recognition on HoustonTexans.com and social media, a signed certificate, a $5,000 grant for their football program and on-field recognition at our 2023 State of Football game.
The Houston Texans are proud to announce the Girls FLAG Football League. Through this program high school female athletes have the opportunity to learn and participate in the game of football. This initiative was launched in 2023 to create pathways for young females in football.
