By The Numbers | Texans vs Colts

The regular season will come to an end approximately 3 PM on Sunday, starting the new season right then and there for the 2025 Houston Texans. The Texans' win in Los Angeles put them in the Playoff Dance, but we can focus on those playoffs beginning next Monday. Let's focus on this last one in the 2025 regular season with our By the Numbers against the Colts.

  • 11 - The Texans will face Colts QB Riley Leonard, a rookie from Notre Dame via Duke. Leonard will be the 11th Colts QB to start a game vs. the Texans since the start of the 2015 season.
  • 4 - No Colts QB has started more than four regular season games against the Texans in that same timeframe.
  • 7 - Since the start of 2015, the Texans have had seven different QBs start against the Colts.
  • 31 - Texans Head Coach DeMeco Ryans set a franchise record for the most wins in his first three years as head coach.
  • 3 - He's also led the Texans to the playoffs for the third consecutive season, another first in Texans history.
  • 2 - With his interception against the Chargers, Texans LB Azeez Al-Shaair registered his second INT in the 2025 season, equaling his career total prior to 2025. He had one in the COVID season of 2020 and one in 2021. He now has four overall in his career.
  • 0 - The Texans offense has yielded no sacks the past two games.
  • 30 - The Texans defense has given up just 30 touchdowns in 16 games, less than two per game. That unit also leads the league in scoring defense allowed per game, yielding just 16.6 points per game.
  • 319 - Texans RB Woody Marks has posted 319 yards after first contact in 2025. That represents nearly half of his total 655 yards rushing.
  • 4 - Four of Tommy Townsend's five punts against the Chargers were downed inside the 20-yard line, which helped Townsend earn AFC Special Teams Player of the Week.
  • 27 - Texans QB C.J. Stroud tied Hall of Famer John Elway for the most wins as a starting QB by a first or second overall pick in his first three seasons in the Super Bowl.

Okay, that'll do it for this week. Time to make the donuts, one more time in the regular season. GO TEXANS!
