Danieal Manning and TORO to kick off new program to combat bullying

HOUSTON - The Houston Texans are proud to introduce a new community initiative, TORO Takes the BULL Out of Bullying, presented by National Oilwell Varco, an educational assembly to teach students how to remove bullying from their schools. In the first interactive bullying program of its kind by a professional sports team in Houston, TORO and starting safety Danieal Manning, join forces to proactively combat the bullying epidemic in schools.

TORO Takes the BULL Out of Bullying is an informative, hands-on, anti-bullying show created by TORO, the team's official mascot, to teach students how to recognize different types of bullying and proper ways for students to deal with it. TORO interacts with players Danieal Manning, Owen Daniels, and Houston Texans Cheerleaders via interactive video to help teach students how they can help each other to foster a positive environment.

In addition, C Chris Myers, G Wade Smith, T Derek Newton, LB Whitney Mercilus, and LB Brooks Reed are all scheduled to sign autographs for fans at public appearances on Tuesday.
