Hannah McNair, Vice President of the Houston Texans Foundation, was at a loss for words. "I couldn't speak for a moment because I was so excited," she later told Brooke Cersosimo of NFL.com.

The reason? She was looking at a proposal for a new girls flag football league run by the Houston Texans Foundation.

Now, two years since the Texans Foundation's girls flag football league kicked off, McNair sees 25 Houston Independent School District High Schools with girls flag programs also taking off in Fort Bend ISD, Alief ISD, Stafford ISD, and Texas Charter Schools around Houston.

"It's been two years since we started our girls flag football league, and the growth has been incredible," McNair said.

And the success has not just been in high school competition - recently, the Texans Girls Flag team took home the 2025 NFL FLAG Championship.

McNair celebrated that win with the girls flag players when they returned to Houston, but the program is only one part of the growth the Houston Texans Foundation has undertaken in recent years as it has continued to focus on impacting the local community. Along with her husband, Texans Chair and CEO Cal McNair, and Texans Co-Founder and Senior Chair Janice McNair - a mentor that she says "lives and breathes grace and competitiveness while always lifting others up next to her," - Hannah McNair is energized and driven to continue finding new ways to connect with and support H-Town.
