Elsik's Bill Barron and Caney Creek's Glenn Hill were named the Houston Texans High School Coach of the Week Award winners in Week 4.

This week's Houston Texans 5A Coach of the Week Award goes to head coach Bill Barron of Elsik High School. The Rams (1-3) overcame Hastings 35-28 in the last three minutes of the game with a 63-yard touchdown by senior running back Jeremy Hills. Hills, who has committed to University of Texas, ran for 257 yards and five touchdowns on 29 carries to give the Rams their first win over Hastings since 2005.

This week's Houston Texans 4A-under Coach of the Week Award goes to head coach Glenn Hill of Caney Creek High School. Coach Hill's Panthers (4-1) defeated Montgomery 45-35 Friday night. The Panthers' senior quarterback, Joe Simmons, ran for 202 yards and passed for 102 yards resulting in four touchdowns.

Caney Creek High School and Elsik High School will each receive a $500 grant in their coach's name for winning the Texans Coach of the Week Award. Also, each coach will be recognized on HoustonTexans.com and NFLHS.com, and on the video board at Reliant Stadium. Coach Hill and Coach Barron will also be invited to the Texans vs. Saints game on November 18 and will be recognized at the Texans High School Coach of the Year Banquet after the season.
