This week's Houston Texans 5A Coach of the Week Award goes to head coach Drew Svoboda of Klein Collins High School.

This week's Houston Texans 5A Coach of the Week Award goes to head coach Drew Svoboda of Klein Collins High School. Klein Collins this week defeated rival and previously unbeaten Klein Oak 14-7 in a district showdown. The Tigers defense was the key to victory this week holding Klein Oak to 197 yards of total offense. The Eagles will continue district play this week when they take on Westfield on Saturday.

This week's Houston Texans 4A-under Coach of the Week award goes to head coach Tim Teykl of Terry High School. Terry also took down an unbeaten this week by beating district favorite El Campo 21-14. The Rangers had there way with the El Campo defense amassing 255 yards on the ground. The Rangers will take on Bay City this Friday night in another key district game.

Klein Collins High School and Terry High School will each receive a $500 grant in their coach's name for winning the Texans Coach of the Week Award. Also, each coach will be recognized on HoustonTexans.com and NFLHS.com, and on the video board at Reliant Stadium. Coach Svoboda and Coach Teykl will also be invited to a Texans home game later on in the season and will be recognized at the Texans High School Coach of the Year Banquet after the season. Fox Sports Net Houston and the US Army are associate sponsors of the Texans Coach of the Week Program.
