J.J. Watt, Kealia Ohai donated $350k to Houston Food Bank

Recently married J.J. Watt and Kealia Ohai, the Texans five-time All-Pro defensive end and Chicago Red Stars soccer pro, donated $350,000 to the Houston Food Bank to help aid relief efforts during the current COVID-19 outbreak. The couple's donation will help provide over one million meals to those in need.

Houston Food Bank is America's largest food bank in distribution, leading hunger relief in 18 southeast Texas counties. Also a partner of the Houston Texans, the 501(c)(3) is preparing quarantine food kits and other essential services to assist those affected by coronavirus closures in the area.

In 2017, Watt started an online Hurricane Harvey Relief fund to raise money for those affected by flooding and devastation in Southeast Texas. After helping to raise $41.6 million to rebuild schools, homes and help those in need, Watt was honored with the NFL's prestigious Walter Payton Man of the Year award.
